Ski Chatel, La Chapelle d’Abondance, and the Portes du SoleilSki Chatel and La Chapelle offers plenty of choice for the majority of skiers as both offer an impressive local domain; from Braitaz, which is unspoilt and empty even in the busiest weeks of the season, through to Super Chatel which is a paradise for beginners and Pre La Joux with its easy access to the Portes du Soleil, mixture of blue, red and black runs and excellent snow record.
Skiing in the Portes du Soleil, the largest internationally linked region in Euroe, opens this experience up further with its 650 km of pisted runs across resorts in both France and Switzerland, excellent for intermediate skiers and boarders, to the phenomenal off-piste areas and excellent snow record which means that the area is as good at the end of April as at the beginning of the season.
Unique French Alps ChaletLa Ferme du Chateau, our renovated Chatel Chalet, offers a level of comfort which is hard to find elsewhere in this region. It benefits from the spaciousness of rooms which can only be found in a traditional old farmhouse and combines the best of the traditional building with the comforts of modern living in 6-ensuite rooms. There is an open plan lounge and dining room which has a stunning central fire and 6 sofas in which to relax. There are two south west facing balconies, a sunken jacuzzi, large garden and stunning views across the Mont de Grange nature reserve– this really is a rare property!
